WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines: Unit D6 Independent Research Assignment Topic #1 (AY 2022-23)

Unit D6 Independent Research Assignment: $425 submission fee

Topic #1 Due: January 31, 2023
The deadline to register to submit the assignment is on or before January 15, 2023. 

Two Topics for 2021-2022 will be announced by the WSET on August 1, 2022.  You must choose one of the topics and submit your paper on the relevant due date. The topics, and the instructions and forms for submitting the chosen topic, can be found in the WSET Global Campus Online Classroom Diploma Student Resource Area, to which all Diploma candidates should have access, but you may also view the topic here.

Assignment Delivery: The staff of the Capital Wine School will contact registered candidates via email with instructions for delivering their assignments 30 days before the assignment due date, or within three business days of registration if registering within 30 days of the assignment due date. Please note that we are unable to accept assignments via email – students must bring their assignments to the school or send them via courier service with tracking.

In this correspondence we will include copies of the required cover sheet as well as the assignment guidelines and submission procedures mentioned above. Please add emails with the suffix @capitalwineschool.com to your list of safe senders to ensure receipt to your email inbox.

An optional online seminar providing guidance for candidates who are registered to submit their January 2023 assignment will taught by a Caroline Hermann MW on Zoom on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 from 6:30pm – 8:30pm.

Candidates who have not yet registered and paid to submit the January 2023 assignment may attend the virtual seminar for $85 and should choose the “seminar only” ticket option. Candidates who choose this option should email info@capitalwineschool.com if they later wish to register to submit the assignment so the remaining balance due for the assignment registration fee can be collected.

Students who register after September 6 may email info@capitalwineschool.com to request a link to a recording of the seminar.

The completed assignment must be received by the Capital Wine School by 5:00pm on Tuesday, January 31, 2023.

Before attempting the 3000-word Research Paper you must take the D1 & D2 exams.
