Italy’s two great sources for the regal Nebbiolo variety have been on a historically unprecedented hot streak for years on end.

Barolo produced astonishing wines in 2010, 2013 and 2015, just as Barbaresco excelled in 2013, 2014 and 2016.  This tasting class will survey twelve of the finest expressions of these growing seasons in the two appellations, highlighting the differing character imparted by the vintages while also showcasing the skills of the regions’ best winemakers.  I’ll also include at least one optimally aged wine from Barolo and Barbaresco to exemplify the greatness these wines can achieve when fully mature.
