Aged Brunello versus fully mature Ribera del Duero?  Now that’s a fight!  The world’s most versatile and food-friendly wines are arguably the ones that Italy crafts from Sangiovese and that Spain makes from Tempranillo.  Wonderful year-round with everything from fish to red meats, and perfect with everything in between (especially duck, pork, veal), these are the middleweight greats that put food lovers and wine lovers on the same page.  The best examples can be marvelously complex without being overly weighty, which is the key to their versatility and class…but which is the best in this weight class?  This blind taste-off features a dozen examples presented toe-to-toe, with the objective of discerning the distinctive virtues and charms of these two great varieties at differing stages of maturity.

Wine samples available for pickup by appointment on May 15 between 12pm – 5pm.

**Important: If you are registering for more than one person, please be sure to include the other participants’ email address(es) when registering if they will be viewing the class from a different location/device.
