Introduction to Wine Basics **TEST**

2 hours, $75

This introductory class is designed for those wanting to develop a good foundation of wine knowledge and an understanding of how to taste wine.

You may choose to attend in-person at the Capital Wine School or virtually online.

You will learn about:

• Main styles of wine
• The most important wine grapes
• Key wine producing countries and regions
• How grapes are grown and wine is produced
• How to taste wine like a pro
• What to look for and why
• Matching food and wine
• Serving, storing, and buying wine
• The best way to buy wine in retail stores and restaurants

Additional Important Information 

*In-person tickets are of limited quantity, and we ask that only those guests who are fully vaccinated against SARS CoV2 purchase in-person tickets. We welcome our non-vaccinated guests to join virtually by purchasing the online ticket option.

For Online Attendees

*Wine samples will be available for pickup curbside by appointment at the Capital Wine School on Thursday, August 5 between 12pm – 5pm. We cannot accommodate requests for wine sample pickups in advance of the date/times mentioned above. Please make a note of the pickup date, as it will not show on your registration confirmation.

*Guests who are unable to come to the school may request shipping to addresses in DC and VA  for an additional charge, and should choose the “+ shipping” ticket option. We cannot accept requests for shipping outside of DC and VA. Please read our shipping/recording policy before purchasing your ticket(s). Shipping is charged per ticket, not per address. 

*If you are registering for more than one person, please be sure to include the other participants’ email address(es) when registering if they will be viewing the class from a different location/device.

*Cisco Webex or Zoom invitations are usually emailed the day of class (or the afternoon/evening before if the class start time is in the morning) and may not have an @capitalwineschool.com suffix if it comes directly from the instructor teaching the class/course.
