Who can take advanced wine classes?
Our advanced wine classes are designed for experienced tasters, wine buyers, and those who are preparing for exams. In addition to our own advanced wine classes, we also provide courses for WSET and The Wine Scholars Guild. These are the advanced classes that we offer:
- WSET Level III: There are four different levels in the WSET courses. In order to attend the advanced Level III class, you need to demonstrate a knowledge equivalent to finishing the Level II WSET courses. Here is some of what is covered in Level III:
- Advanced Wine Tasting Techniques
- Winemaking
- Germany
- Spain and Portugal
- Sherry, Port, and Fortifie Muscats
- Burgundy, Beaujoais, and the Loire Valley
- WSET Level IV: This is the highest level of certification offered by the WSET. This is comprised of six different units and can take two to three years to complete. This is designed to prepare anyone for senior positions within the wine business. In order to register for the Level IV class, you must have completed the Level III class.
