Italy’s two largest islands may sit at opposite ends of the Tyrrhenian Sea, but both have quietly built some of the country’s most distinctive wine traditions. In this class, we’ll explore Sardinia’s Vermentino and Cannonau alongside Sicily’s Nero d’Avola, Etna Rosso, and Grillo — wines shaped by volcanic soils, sea breezes, and centuries of Phoenician, Greek, and Spanish influence. Along the way, we’ll taste through the styles that make these islands some of the most exciting (and still underrated) regions in Italian wine.
The tasting lineup will be announced closer to the event, once final selections are confirmed.
This class will be held in person at the Capital Wine School. Please note that the building in which we are located does not have an elevator, and there are several sets of stairs to navigate to get to our classrooms on the second floor.
To ensure a quality experience for all participants, each class or course requires a minimum number of registrations. If this minimum is not met, we may need to cancel the session.
