Greece boasts one of the oldest wine cultures in the world, yet its wines remain one of the industry’s best-kept secrets. In this class, we’ll explore indigenous grapes like Assyrtiko, Moschofilero, Xinomavro, and Agiorgitiko, tasting our way from the volcanic vineyards of Santorini to the cooler highlands of the mainland and Peloponnese. Along the way, we’ll uncover how thousands of years of winemaking history meet a modern renaissance now capturing the attention of sommeliers and collectors alike.
The tasting lineup will be announced closer to the event, once final selections are confirmed.
Participants may choose to attend in person at the Capital Wine School or virtually on Zoom.
In Person Participants
- Please note that the building in which we are located does not have an elevator, and there are several sets of stairs to navigate to get to our classrooms on the second floor.
Virtual Participants

To ensure a quality experience for all participants, each class or course requires a minimum number of registrations. If this minimum is not met, we may need to cancel the session. In such cases, registered students will be notified as soon as possible and provided with options for rescheduling or a full refund.
