WSET Level 3 Wine Exam ONLY(reschedule/retake)

This exam is only for Capital Wine School students who have taken a WSET Level 3 Award in Wines course with the Capital Wine School and who need to retake or reschedule the WSET Level 3 Wine exam.

Registration deadline: July 2, 2026

Once purchased, this exam registration is non-refundable and non-transferable. If you need to reschedule, you must register for and purchase a new exam date through our website.

We require a minimum of three students to hold an exam. If we have fewer than three students registered for this exam at the time we are required to submit the enrollment forms to the WSET, students will be asked to reschedule for another exam date.

*Individuals who completed their Level 3 coursework with an APP other than the Capital Wine School but who were unable to take their exam with the other APP – or who failed one or both portions of the exam and wish to retake the exam with the Capital Wine School – must request approval to register for this exam by emailing info@capitalwineschool.com. These students should not register for this exam until they have received approval from the Capital Wine School. Any unapproved registrations by individuals who did not take their coursework with the Capital Wine School will be cancelled and refunded minus a $35.00 administrative fee.

If approved to take the exam, a supplementary registration fee of $150.00 will be added to the exam registration fees noted above for individuals who took their coursework with another APP. The exam fees for these individuals are: $275 tasting portion, $375 theory portion, $425 full exam

The exam  is 2 1/2 hours and consists of a multiple choice paper of 50 questions, a question paper requiring short written answers, and full written tasting notes on two wines.  Those who pass the exam receive the WSET Level 3 Award in Wine, an internationally recognized credential in the wine industry.
