WSET Level 2 Award in Wines Online Live with Kosher Wines

Includes 5 online sessions on Zoom guided by a WSET certified instructor, the WSET Level 2 study pack and associated mailing fees, the final examination online with remote invigilation, and a digital certificate and badge for students who pass the final examination. Wine samples are separate and cost $600.00.

The Capital Wine School is partnering with IDrinkKosher.com to bring you this WSET Level 2 Award in Wines Kosher course, which will be held online from 7:30pm – 9:30pm EDT on the following dates:

The final exam will be online with remote invigilation on Tuesday, May 27 from 7:30pm – 8:30pm EDT.

The aim of the course is to focus on the key grape varieties and regions of the world. While the course provides an overview of the wines and of the world, including main wine grapes and regions, it also covers factors affecting wine quality and style, grape growing, and basic winemaking practices. The course emphasizes tasting assessment and the skills required to describe the aromas and tastes of wine. It helps to develop fundamental tasting and assessment skills.

Those who pass the exam receive the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines, an internationally recognized credential in the wine industry.

While this course is intended for Orthodox Jews, all are welcome to enroll.

Wine samples: Wine samples for this course are available for purchase separately from IDrinkKosher.com. Please email zev@idrinkkosher.com to purchase your wine samples. Your wine sample kit will include 22 750ml bottles, and the cost is $600 including shipping. You can review IDrinkKosher.com’s shipping policy here. If you reside in a state where shipping is restricted, you are welcome to participate in the course without wine samples.

Study materials: Level 2 study packs will be mailed to participants via USPS Priority Mail to the address provided in your registration to arrive in time for the first class.

Invitation to join course: Zoom invitations will be emailed the day of the first class.

*The Capital Wine School makes every effort to record each class and to make the recorded session available to participating students for up to one week after the scheduled class. While we have been able to successfully record these sessions for the vast majority of our classes, occasionally a technical glitch or human error will result in a failure to record some or all of a class. The Capital Wine School will not offer refunds or other concessions for classes that a student is unable to attend live, and for which a recorded session is unavailable due to an unexpected error. It is for this reason that we strongly encourage students to try to attend the live, online class session(s) as scheduled whenever possible.

EXAM INFORMATION 

The exam is online with remote invigilation, and consists of 50 multiple choice questions which students have up to one hour to complete.

Failure to provide the participant’s email address may cause problems with exam registration and certificate issuance.

To ensure a quality experience for all participants, each class or course requires a minimum number of registrations. If this minimum is not met, we may need to cancel the course. In such cases, registered students will be notified as soon as possible and provided with options for rescheduling or a full refund.

Students who are participating with wine samples should register by April 2 in order to ensure delivery by the course start date.
