Please join Crystal Cameron Schaad, owner and sommelier of Crystal Palate Wine & Gourmet, for this 1-day in-person WSET Level 1 course. Crystal holds the DipWSET credential and is a graduate of the WSET Educator Training program.

6 Guided Learning Hours, including 45 minutes for the examination
This class covers the main types of wine, the most common grape varieties, wine service, storing and serving wine, tasting technique, how to describe the smell and taste of wine, and the basics of pairing food and wine. During the class, students taste eight different wines. At the end of the day, students take a 45-minute, multiple choice exam. Those who pass the exam receive the WSET Level 1 Award in Wines.

Exam Information
The exam will be held at the end of class and consists of 3o multiple choice questions which students have 45 minutes to complete.
Rescheduling of exams: Students who are unable to attend the scheduled exam may request to defer to one of our other scheduled exams. Please note that the cost of lunch is not included in this class.
Study materials are given to students at the first class. Requests for advance mailing of study materials will be contingent upon inventory and will incur a $15 mailing fee.
Postage for original mailing of certificates and lapel pins included. Request for replacement of lost certificates/pins will incur additional fees.
Any cancelations or requests for rescheduling must be received on or before October 21, 2023.
