South Africa has over 300 years of winemaking history and is often described as a bridge between Old World and New World.As a generalisation, it has structure and restraint of the old world with the vibrant fruit and liveliness of the new world. South Africa produces some of the best wines in the market today and boasts several distinctive styles and regions. This class we will be exploring those regions and tasting varieties such as Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, PInot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, sweet wines and of course, Pinotage.


This class is taught on Cisco Webex or Zoom, with wine samples available for curbside pickup by appointment on Saturday, February 20 between 9:00am – 12:00pm.
