Italy is one of the most diverse and dynamic wine-producing countries in the world, with hundreds of native grape varieties, dozens of distinct wine regions, and a winemaking history that stretches back thousands of years. From the Alpine vineyards of the north to the sun-drenched landscapes of the south and islands, Italian wines reflect an extraordinary range of climates, soils, and cultural traditions.
In this comprehensive tasting class, you’ll explore the essential grapes, regions, and wine styles that define Italy’s wine identity. We’ll cover key areas such as Piedmont, Veneto, Tuscany, and Southern Italy, while also highlighting lesser-known regions and indigenous varieties that make Italy endlessly fascinating.
Whether you’re new to Italian wine or looking to deepen your knowledge, this class will give you a strong framework for understanding labels, navigating wine lists, and confidently selecting Italian wines.
Participants may choose to attend in person at the Capital Wine School or virtually on Zoom.

To ensure a quality experience for all participants, each class or course requires a minimum number of registrations. If this minimum is not met, we may need to cancel the session. In such cases, registered students will be notified as soon as possible and provided with options for rescheduling or a full refund.
