The New Wines of Italy with Jay Youmans MW – In Person or Online

Join Master of Wine Jay Youmans as we explore Italy’s most important regions and wines. We will examine the benchmark producers, as well as the new generation of winemakers that are redefining quality.  We will taste 52 wines over the five weeks.

Class #1, March 26: Piedmont, Liguria, Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna
Class #2, April 2: Veneto, Trentino-Alto Adige, Friuli-Venezia Giulia
Class #3, April 9: Tuscany, Le Marche, Umbria, Abruzzo
Class #4, April 16: Sicily, Sardegna, Calabria
Class #5, April 23: Campania, Molise, Puglia, Basilicata

Participants may choose to attend in person at the Capital Wine School or online via Zoom. Online participants may pick their samples up at the Capital Wine School on March 25 between 12pm – 5pm or may request shipping for an additional fee.

Important: All registrations for online participation, and any requests for shipping of wine samples, must be received at least 7 days prior to class. Because wine sample kits for online participants are assembled in advance of the first class date and include wine samples for the entire course duration, we cannot accommodate requests to switch from in person to virtual after March 19. Participants who sign up for in person attendance who are unable to physically attend one or more class sessions are welcome to participate via Zoom without wine samples.
