We will be digging deep into a variety of soil types–discussing their role in the development of grapes and identifying their signatures in the finished wine. Together we will taste through four flights of wines (12 wines total) selected to showcase four common vineyard soils. While you won’t have to get any dirt under your fingernails, you can expect to come away with a well grounded understanding of what takes place below the surface. And at your next winery visit, you’ll find yourself asking some thoughtfully “dirty” questions which will add to your appreciation of what is in your glass.

This class is taught on Zoom on Saturday, April 29 from 5:30pm – 7:00pm with wine samples available for curbside pickup by appointment on Friday, April 28 between 12pm – 5pm.
