Tuscany is the heart of Italian wine culture — a region where Sangiovese reigns supreme but expresses itself in strikingly different ways depending on where it’s grown. In this class, we’ll taste through ten wines that trace Tuscany’s essential story: the structured elegance of Chianti Classico, the power and prestige of Brunello di Montalcino, the refined complexity of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, and the maverick spirit of the Super Tuscans that broke from tradition to reshape the region’s reputation. Along the way, we’ll explore how Tuscany’s hill towns, soils, and winemaking philosophies converge to create some of the world’s most celebrated reds. You’ll come away with a clear map of Tuscany’s key appellations and the styles that define them.
The tasting lineup will be announced closer to the event, once final selections are confirmed.
This class will be held in person at the Capital Wine School. Please note that the building in which we are located does not have an elevator, and there are several sets of stairs to navigate to get to our classrooms on the second floor.
