Any student who registered and paid for this course before February 12 has been registered to take the examination on February 28.
Any student who registers and pays for this course between February 12 and February 21 will be registered to take the examination on March 21 at 3:00 p.m.
This course will be held at Upper Shirley Vineyards from February 26 to February 28. Class will meet on Monday and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. On Wednesday, class will meet from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Those who registered before February 12 will take the exam on February 28 from 11:00 a.m. until noon. Any student who registered on or after February 12 will take the examination on March 21 at 3:00 p.m.
This structured classroom style course will be an approachable and interactive look at key grape varieties and wine regions as well as major spirits categories. This knowledge along with information on styles, classifications, and labeling terms will unlock the mysteries of wine label vocabulary. Developing fundamental tasting skills will come over the three days as we taste together and learn to describe and assess 40 different wines.
This course is designed for consumers and the trade with some wine knowledge. Level 1 is not a prerequisite, but Level 2 is best attempted with some advance study and/or experience.

Exam (1 hour /50 multiple choice) on Wednesday morning
Guided tasting of approximately 40 wines
Successful Exam Candidates receive the WSET Level 2 award, an internationally recognized credential in the wine industry.
