Unit D3: Light Wines of the World (22 weeks of guided study)
Acquire specialist product knowledge and commercial understanding for the major light wine producing regions. Split into 4 elements studied at different points during the course.
Before registering for Unit D3, you must have completed Unit D1 (formerly Unit #2). It is also recommended that you take Unit D2 (formerly Unit #1) prior to taking Unit D3.
The on-line version of Unit D3 is split into 4 sections:
Element #1 – Northern France & Germany
Element #2 – Southern France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Central & Southeast Europe
Element #3 – Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia
Element #4 – The Americas /USA, Canada, Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay
Each Element takes 7 weeks to complete. The entire Unit # 3 course requires 28 weeks.
Intended for distance students where regular class attendance is not possible. Includes online tuition – Elements 1,2,3,4 (28 weeks), online study materials, 10 feedback theory test questions & 4 feedback tasting tests, full day tasting tutorial at the Capital Wine School on May 2 (Lunch not included), and the full 2-day final exam on May 13 & 14, 2020.
