The Unit #1 assessment is comprised of two papers:
- A case study examination (50% of grade) that students write in class under exam conditions. Topics are released by the WSET one month before the examination. The case study exam will be held at 10:30 a.m. on the following dates at the Capital Wine School: November 3, 2016; March 8, 2017; and June 13, 2017.
- A coursework assignment (50% of grade) that students write at home over the course of several months. Topics are released by the WSET in June of each year. The Capital Wine School will accept coursework assignments on the following dates: November 8, 2016 and April 11, 2017.
Please note that you must have taken the WSET Level 4 Diploma, Unit #2 exam before registering for this, or any other, unit.
PLEASE NOTE THAT REGISTRATION DATES ARE STRICT AND IMPOSED BY THE WSET:
– Registration required by Aug 21, 2016 for the Nov 3, 2016 case study exam;
– Registration required by Sept 25, 2016 for the Nov 8, 2016 coursework;
– Registration required by Dec 4, 2016 for the Mar 8, 2017 case study exam;
– Registration required by Feb 28, 2017 for the Apr 11, 2017 coursework; and
– Registration required by Mar 12, 2017 for the June 13, 2017 case study exam.
