WSET Diploma Unit #2: Wine Production
The Unit #2 Exam is a gateway exam to the rest of the program and must be attempted before moving on to any other Units.The Unit # 2 exam lasts 90 minutes and consists of 100 questions - multiple choice format.
Includes: The 3 year registration fee, the WSET Diploma Unit # 2 Study Guide, 4 class lectures, practice quizzes, the Diploma Assessment Preparation Scheme (DAPS) (done online through the WSET in London to help you further prepare), and the Unit # 2 Examination. Note: You must have passed the WSET Advanced Level 3 exam before registering for the Diploma Program.

WSET Diploma Unit #1: The Global Business of Wine and Spirits
The Unit 1 assessment is comprised of 2 papers:
1) A Coursework Assignment (50% of your grade) that you write at home over the course of several months. The topic was just released and is available as a PDF file format..
You must register by Wednesday, September 7, 2011 if you intend to submit this paper through the Capital Wine School. The paper is due no later than Tuesday, November 8, 2011
2) A Case Study Examination (50% of your grade) that you write in class under exam conditions.
The topic will be released one month before the exam. You must register with the Capital Wine School by Wednesday, September 7, 2011. The exam will be held in Washington, DC on Thursday, November 3, 2011 from 10:30 to 11:45am.
Includes: The WSET Diploma Unit # 1 Study Guide, the Unit #1 Coursework Assignment submission, the Unit # 1 Case Study Examination, and the Unit # 1
Seminar: Monday, August 29th from 6:00-9:30. Held at The Capital Wine School. This session will help prepare you for researching and writing both Unit #1 and Unit #2 papers.

WSET Diploma Unit #4: Spirits
The class begins Thursday (Not Wednesday), September 22 at 6:30pm until 9:30pm. The course runs Sept 22, 29, Oct 6,13,19, and will be held at Bells Wine & Spirits.
The exam will be held in Washington, DC on Thursday, November 3rd from 4:30pm to 5:30pm. The spirits exam will last one hour and includes a tasting assessment of three spirits, and several essay questions related to material covered in the Unit. The instructor for the class will be Jay Youmans MW.
