The rare and often costly Syrah-based wines of the Northern Rhône are probably the least widely experienced of all the truly great wines of France.  Sheer scarcity is one key reason for this, as the north produces only one-tenth as much wine the southern Rhône appellations (Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Côtes-du-Rhône, Gigondas, etc.).  Expense is another, as Hermitage and Côte-Rôtie are among France’s most prized wines.  This tasting class is devoted to showing distinctive examples from the main five northern appellations at different degrees of maturity, demonstrating their uncanny ability to combine power with stylishness, purity with earthiness, and fruitiness with deep savory signatures.  The lineup will include aged wines from magnum and…yes…Hermitage and Côte-Rôtie.

Wine samples available for pickup by appointment on June 26 between 12pm – 5pm.

**Important: If you are registering for more than one person, please be sure to include the other participants’ email address(es) when registering if they will be viewing the class from a different location/device.
